SownWell Work is therapy, but for your business.

You work hard.

Your business should work for you.

Perhaps you’ve been burning the candle at both ends, trying to make ends meet, care for your family, steward your animals, plants, and legacy.

Perhaps you’re ready to find a way your business can work for harder for you. If you are, business therapy will make it possible.

Abundance is achievable.

You may be a rancher, shepherding hundreds or thousands of sheep. You may be a fiber producer, lovingly making and dyeing luscious fibers for handspinners, knitters, and weavers. You may be a soap maker, delicately combining goat’s milk and fragrances to enhance your customer’s day. You may be a carpenter, skillfully joining cedar to create works of industry and art. You may be a farmer or a market gardener, willing life to sprout from the earth and nourish people.

Whatever you may be, you are vital to your community, and your business is vital to your ability to provide for your family, live your values, and enjoy your daily work.

Sometimes, however, things get in the way of that. Things seem to steal the abundance we’d hoped for. But with fortitude and an attitude of curiosity and openness, that can be changed. Business therapy is here to help you along that journey.

How does business therapy work?

  • You talk, I listen. I chaIlenge, you think about it. We keep talking, and then you work on something in your business. In therapy, you’ll meet with me regularly, sometimes in person and sometimes virtually. I’ll also be available for you on the free Marco Polo app so we can communicate with short videos. Each session may be different - depending on what’s actively happening in your business, we may work through a tactical problem, or we may dig into something a little stickier (like why you’re not charging enough for your work.)

  • If you have a small business focused in the agriculture sector, or you’re in a rural area, and you want to see your business be more successful (however you define that, but often it’s defined by profit), business therapy could be right for you. You must be committed to hearing hard truths, doing the work to try new ideas and solutions, and examining your own beliefs and how they might be affecting your work.

  • Business therapy offers unique outcomes for each business because each owner is unique in their desires, challenges, and strengths. However, SownWell Work has helped clients reduce expenses while increasing quality, make more money on products and events, reach more people, and become more organized and less stressed.

  • Depending on the package you choose, therapy will cost between $75-200 a session. You may opt for just one session, which s $200. Purchasing in groups of two sessions reduces each session price to $150, and purchasing in groups of four sessions reduces each session price to $75 a session. Therapy is priced this way to incent business owners to invest in the long term health of their business. In special cases, barter may be arranged.

  • In each session, I will protect your time and ensure we really get to the meat and potatoes of what’s going on. I will send you a quick Marco Polo (video recording) before each session and ask that you let me know what’s on your mind. I’ll prepare for our session and gather appropriate resources, questions, and tools. If you choose, virtual sessions can be recorded for your use.

  • I have worked with and helped to grow hundreds of businesses since 2013, when I developed small business curriculum at a nonprofit in Oregon. I have run my own businesses since I was a teenager - from jewelry making, art sold in galleries, to learning design consulting and a $2 Million venture-funded tech startup. I’ve developed a reputation for being both honest and direct while also being understanding and kind. My method of supporting business growth begins with supporting the business owner: I strive to help you identify limiting beliefs, old stories that aren’t serving your goals, and what the success you’re trying to reach is - and how you can get there.
